Remember Me?

Remember Me?

Every man is entitled to be valued by his best moment.
– Ralph Waldo Emerson

Does that sound theologically shaky?  The Bible seems to indicate that when we accept the righteousness of Christ through Jesus we are remembered by our best moments.

That’s how an adulterous murderer like King David could have God say something like this about him:

“David did what was right in the eyes of the Lord and did not turn aside from anything that he commanded him all the days of his life, except in the matter of Uriah the Hittite.” (1 Kings 15:5)

David messed up big time (many times), but God seems to remember him for his best moments.  So what are you going to be remembered for?  Are you allowing others to be remembered for their best moments?
