Fixing My Truck With Window Tint

Fixing My Truck With Window Tint

I hear this line a lot when counseling people:  “I thought that once we had a child together it would make our relationship better.”

Lesson #1: You’ll never fix something that’s broken by adding more components to the mix.  The only way to fix something that’s broken is by fixing what’s broken.

My truck wouldn’t start yesterday.  It needed a new battery.  The battery was really expensive.  I could have gotten all the truck’s windows tinted for cheaper than that dang battery.  I could have even gotten a stereo for it.  But that’s not what it needed.

If you are facing relational challenges I really encourage you to fight the urge to add stuff into the mix.  Maybe if he gets a job where’s he’s gone more we won’t argue so much.  Maybe if she’ll just get a job away from the home she won’t be so emotionally draining.

Get some outside (unbiased) help to get to the root of the issue.  Problems don’t go away.  They must be faced.  With hard work and God’s grace you can get through any relational challenge you face in this life.
