Take That, Mother-Clucker!

Take That, Mother-Clucker!

One of the most important things God showed me while I was in Peru is that somewhere during the past year I started living in a lot of fear.

Things that didn’t use to scare me have been leaving me paralyzed. Maybe I have more to lose than I used to. Whatever it is, I’ve been chicken about a lot things.

I made a resolution yesterday. I’m going to wake up every morning, look at the chicken in the mirror and remind myself – I will not be afraid. Then I’ll go out and do something brave that day.

By the end of every day I want to be able to come back, point at myself in that mirror and shout, “Take that, mother-clucker! I’m not afraid.”

Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident. Psalm 27:3
