The Missing Peace of the Puzzle

The Missing Peace of the Puzzle

Emily and I have been trying to plan for the future. But we keep hitting a wall. We kind of see what’s ahead and we want to position ourselves to be ready for it. But every time we try to make a move in that direction we both feel like we are supposed to wait.

You see there’s this missing piece. I know because there’s a missing peace.

I’m usually willing to jump off the cliff when I’m about 60% sure on something, but I don’t do it when I don’t have peace.

I could do something now, but from personal experience I’ve found it’s best to just wait until the missing piece is revealed.  It’s usually one variable that God sends my way that makes it all make sense.  Sometimes it doesn’t make sense, but you still get an odd sense of peace about it.

There are these seasons in life when things get turned on their head. You want to make something happen -anything- so you can get back to some normalcy. But I’d really encourage you to just wait.  Wait for that peace and the missing piece to be revealed.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.  -Philippians 4:6-7
