You Are a Leader

You Are a Leader

I was talking with a guy the other day who wanted to join a Summit Leaders trip. His only reason for not going:

“I’m not a leader. I’m just a dad who goes to my 9-5 job and volunteers at church.”

To that I say. “Malarky! You are a leader.”

A leader is anyone with influence.

Whether you like it or not you have influence. People are watching you. They are watching you manage your single years with integrity. They are watching you raise your family. They are watching how you handle trials and struggles.

Christians are leaders – people of influence in a world looking for answers.

You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.

You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. Matt. 5:13-16

Someone is going to influence the people around you. It should be you. Influence and lead people to the love and transforming power of Christ.

Be bold.

Lead in your circle of influence.
