Remember to Remember

Vision Map: Charting a Step-by-Step Course For Your Biggest Hopes and Dreams

We are in the final stages of editing my book Vision Map. It comes out in October. I’ve read the dang thing like 500 times now.

But there’s this one part in the book that always gets me. I get choked up every time I read it. Not because my writing is so good (or bad). It’s because it reminds me of some totally-astoundingly miracles God did for me when I least expected it.

I don’t know how this book is going to do in terms of sales. I really hope it gets into the hands of lots of people. But I’ll tell you something. Telling this story has built my faith. Thinking about this story for the past year has reminded me of so many amazing things God has done.

I can’t stay discouraged for long when I remember what God has done.

If you are going to live an extraordinary life you absolutely must keep the faithfulness of God constantly in front of you. Remember what he has done for you. And remember – he doesn’t change. (Malachi 3:6) So he will come through again.

We live in a dark world. You have to remind yourself over and over and over just how good and faithful God is. Remember to remember. You can’t afford to forget.

Stay encouraged. God is working. Always. And he can’t be stopped. Ever.

I will recount the steadfast love of the Lord,
the praises of the Lord,
according to all that the Lord has granted us,
and the great goodness to the house of Israel
that he has granted them according to his compassion,
according to the abundance of his steadfast love.
Isaiah 63:7
