Today Could Change Everything

Last July I got on a plane in Denver. I was discouraged. I had just spent a weekend hiking with a bunch of guys. That was a high point. Now I was going back to my new home in a ginormous city where I knew no one. I had been trying to make friends, but was having no success.

I sat down on a crowded plane. Every seat was taken. I immediately got this feeling that I needed to talk to the guy next to me. I don’t like talking to people on planes. But I knew I needed to. So I did. We became instant friends. He and I talked like a bunch of middle school girls for the entire flight back to Houston.

That friendship opened a bunch of doors. Literally everything about the place I was living changed with that one connection.

Never forget this: Everything can change in one instant. The thing you’ve been hoping and praying for can happen in a snap. It’s a small thing for God. God can do in one second what it would take you a lifetime to do on your own.

I’ve seen it over and over again. When you least expect it God can blow open doors of opportunity that you never imagined possible. Keep your eyes open – always. God is always at work.

Stay encouraged today. Stay alert to what God is orchestrating around you. This could be the day it all changes.
